WCDP County Convention – November 2026
The Wexford County Democratic Party Fall Convention will convene in person on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at 5:00 pm at the MEA office on North Mitchell Street across from the Wex. The Convention will precede our regular monthly business meeting.
Registration and credentialing will begin at 4:45 pm and continue until 5:00 pm.
The purpose of the Wexford County Fall Convention shall be to:
- Elect officers of the Wexford County Democratic Party.
- Consider amendments to the bylaws submitted to the Wexford County Committee.
Anyone wishing to submit an amendment to be considered for the Wexford Fall Convention should do so by November 6, 2026. When submitting an amendment for consideration, an assessment of the risks and costs associated with implementing the amendment should be included. In addition, the WCDP is seeking candidates for the office of vice chair. Per MDP bylaws, candidates for this position must be female. If you are interested in running for vice chair, please reach out to me at 231-920-0746 or [email protected].
Resolutions from the floor will not be accepted. Resolutions contravening the Michigan Constitution will not be accepted unless the Resolution is to change that provision of the Michigan Constitution.
Attendees must be registered with the Michigan Democratic Party in order to vote at a county convention of the Wexford County Democratic Party. Precinct Delegates, Democratic elected officials and Democratic nominees residing in Wexford County may become members on the day of the Wexford County Convention.
